What does RSS mean?

RSS stands for Really Simplified Syndication.

A feed is a tool that uses RSS to send information from one web site to another (also known as a stream of information).

It is a way for people to receive automatic updates from web sites, blogs, news headlines and podcasts.

How can I start using RSS?

Many people have a customized My Yahoo or an iGoogle home page. You can add feeds that you like. When you are on a web site that shows RSS , click the orange button and a feed will automatically appear on your customized home page.

Where can I find RSS feeds?

You can look at any web page for the letters RSS, look for the logo (), or do a search. Not all web sites offer RSS feeds.

On Yahoo and Google, you can also add RSS after your favorite search terms.

How can I do a search?

On the upper left of your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), click “Edit” and select “Find”. A search window will appear. Type in RSS.
